Jason Kohll     Chief Executive Officer
If there’s anyone you want to call on when the game is on the line, it’s Jason Kohll. He’s been one of the top “go-to guys” in the sports marketing industry, developing brands and creating partnerships for well over a decade. From the opening kick of co-founding Professional Sports Partners (PSP), the company has become a dominant force in Texas, and has grown into a national brand that changes the way sports marketing is done.

PSP offers clients a unique opportunity to dominate market share in their category by connecting with passionate sports fans who are extremely loyal to their team and the brands that support them. Consequently, their roster of clients and fans has grown steadily. PSP now has over 18 clients across the country including, NCAA Men’s Final Four, Houston Super Bowl Host Committee, BBVA Compass, Red Bull, Sam Houston Race Park, Menchie’s, RedLine Athletics, 76 and bd Global, to name a few.
Alex López Negrete     Principal
Early in his career, Alex coordinated the deal that initiated Hispanic broadcasting of the Houston Rockets games. Not only that, he was actually the color commentator, and the first person ever to broadcast an NBA All-Star Game in Spanish. After he and his wife and business partner, Cathy, opened Lopez Negrete Communications in 1985, one of the very first accounts they acquired was the Rockets. They went on to represent the Houston Aeros and the Houston Astros. So Alex has always been a sports fan, and there’s a special place in his heart for Houston teams. But he’s also one of the most accomplished and respected advertising men in America. Lopez Negrete Communications is now the largest independently owned and operated Hispanic advertising agency in the U.S. Their roster includes some of the country’s premier, blue-chip corporations. Like any good athlete or company president, Alex sees the entire field of play while, at the same time, maintaining extremely sharp focus on a client’s goals. He attempts to raise the bar with every assignment. He knows that when you put on a jersey, the name on the front is more important than the name on the back. Remarkably detail oriented, extremely strategic, with a work ethic that would impress Vince Lombardi and a competitive streak from one goal post to the other, Alex is unquestionably the inspirational, win-one-for-the-Gipper kind of leader you want calling the plays when it comes to your brand.
Cathy López Negrete     Principal
Cathy has been a sports nut since her first words, “Go Bucks.” Her mother started out at Marquette University in the athletic department, then went to the Milwaukee Bucks when the team was founded in 1968. She was one of the first women to hold a management position in the NBA, and possibly the very first to receive an NBA Championship ring in 1971. From there she took an assistant GM position with the Houston Rockets, bringing Cathy, by now a true sports aficionado, with her. Later, when her mom started her own sports company, Cathy and Alex helped with all the in-house sponsorship deals for the Houston Rockets. In other words, sports and sports marketing are in Cathy’s blood. She sees the big picture, future opportunities and long-term possibilities for brands, and is fearless when it comes to helping clients score their goals. Cathy has amazing team spirit and makes sure everyone’s eye is on the ball, no matter what the competition throws at us. In addition to her responsibilities at PSP, she is also co-founder and CFO of our affiliate Lopez Negrete Communications, where over the past almost 30 years, she’s personally been involved in everything from the money, strategy and research, to moderating focus groups and brainstorming with the creatives. A natural leader, a true competitor and a born winner, Cathy turns marketing investments into home runs.
